Today a friend shared her one of her favorite quotes with me: “When the ocean comes to you as a lover, marry at once–quickly–for God’s sake.”– Rumi.

Hmm. Thought provoking. Here is one of my favorite quotes from Kahlil Gibran (edited):
“Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding. It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self. Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquillity.”
I especially like to recite this quote when I’m about to give my patients their shots. It puts things in perspective for them, I think.

I wonder when will I become wise enough to start quoting myself? Soon I hope.
