Later morning

Annie came by for crepes as well. Since we were snapping away, I was snap-happy  and took her photo while opening the door for her.

hi annie

Nancy talked about how she’d made eclairs  and we decided to make some. She got on Skype and her husband Ilir walked us through the steps. I compared the experience to a neonatal resuscitation. Each of us had a role and Ilir would bark out things like “Jasmine turn down the heat! Tricia, keep stirring the milk. Nancy, the dough should be ready now. Hey, who opened the oven door? I will kill them. Don’t you have any non-Asian friends Nancy? Now Jasmine, take my photo!”

this is ilir

At some point, the apartment filled up with smoke. The smoke alarm  did not go off though because I had removed my smoke alarm detectors a few weeks ago. They beeped too much.

Finally, Nancy and Tricia added the chocolate topping

Viola! Notice I didn’t put in any pictures on the actual process of making the eclairs. That’s because you wouldn’t want to eat it if you saw what we did to it.

Just kidding Evan and Gina and Kelly.
